Mr. Hubbell is former President and CEO of Carmell Therapeutics, a regenerative medicine company with novel technologies for aesthetic, orthopedic and wound care markets.

Mr. Hubbell took this early-stage research-oriented company (post series A valuation of $6M) and shifted to a development-focused company with new vision and strategy to create value via clinical/regulatory progression and clear path to exit. Went public on a $150M valuation in July 2023 and within 45 days added a commercial stage regenerative medicine company with Carmell Corporation the surviving entity and a NASDAQ listing (CTCX).

Prior to Carmell Therapeutics, Mr. Hubbell was Chief Commercial Officer of Cardiva Medical, a start-up medical device company focused on delivering technology to reduce the complications associated with vascular access. In this role, Mr. Hubbell successfully designed and implemented the commercial strategy and execution to drive the sales of Cardiva’s vascular closure device product line.

Before Cardiva, Mr. Hubbell was with Johnson & Johnson for 13 years in various sales and marketing roles, with the last five years as a Worldwide Vice President at Ethicon Biosurgery. Before moving to Ethicon, Mr. Hubbell worked in the J&J pharmaceutical sector as the WWVP for Global Strategic Marketing (PGSM) for the pain and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.

Prior to J&J PGSM, Mr. Hubbell was Executive Director of Strategic Alliances at Cordis Cardiology. Mr. Hubbell started at Cordis in 2001 as Director of Stent Marketing and had responsibility for the launch of CYPHER®, the first drug-eluting stent, in the U.S. market in 2003.

In 2000, Mr. Hubbell had responsibility for sales and marketing at Enmed, an Internet start-up with web-based technology for conducting clinical trials.

From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Hubbell was Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Vasca, a start-up medical device company. Prior to Vasca, Mr. Hubbell was in sales and marketing for Boston Scientific from 1993 to 1998, and prior to BSC, Mr. Hubbell was in sales for IBM from 1985 to 1993.

Mr. Hubbell received his M.B.A. from Loyola University and his B.S. from Tulane University.
